Herb spotlight: citric acid
Citric acid is naturally derived from lemons and limes. It is a very common additive in food, and it is what makes your bath bombs and shower melts fizz.
If you are making your own bath bombs or shower melts, put the citric acid in your bowl first, then add in the sodium bicarbonate and other dry ingredients on top of it so that the liquids that go into your mixture don't prematurely activate the citric acid.
